Diabetes Manager is a comprehensive application tailored specifically for individuals with Type 1 Diabetes who utilize pre-meal fast or rapid-acting insulin. This tool combines an insulin calculator, carbohydrate database, favorites database, and a diary to streamline the management of diabetes. Its design emphasizes convenience and aims to minimize errors and uncertainties in calculating pre-meal insulin doses.

 <li>Data storage within a diary database for future reference.</li>
 <li>Generation of reports from diary data.</li>
 <li>Emailing reports in both HTML and CSV formats for accessibility across different applications.</li>
 <li>Selection from a generic food database.</li>
 <li>Modification of serving size or weight to accurately determine carbohydrate content.</li>

 <li>Select preferred blood glucose units, either mg/dL or mmol/L.</li>
 <li>Set individual target blood glucose levels along with correction factors.</li>
 <li>Calculate precise pre-meal insulin doses based on personal carbohydrate ratios and blood glucose levels.</li>
 <li>Use built-in generic food listings to find and adjust carbohydrate values based on serving sizes or weights.</li>
 <li>Input pre-calculated carbohydrate values for customized meal planning.</li>
 <li>Synthesize total carbohydrate values from both generic food listings and personal entries for accurate dosing calculations.</li>
</ol>

Diabetes Manager is intended solely as a guide and should be utilized under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

Data Persistence:
Users must click the Save button located at the upper right corner to retain data entered for each meal and long-acting insulin. Failure to do so will result in loss of new information upon exiting the meal or long-acting view. Saved data can later be accessed as reports or emailed for backup purposes, allowing users to manage their diary database efficiently over time.
